A kitten found on train tracks in Cascade Locks has captured the hearts of Hood River dispatchers who hope their commander will give them permission to keep the little fellow.
The Hood River Sheriff’s Office social media accounts were a buzz this weekend with images of the kitten.
“After this youngster was arrested by animal control for possession of catnip, he was brought into dispatch to complete his community service as a 911 dispatcher,” the law enforcement agency’s Twitter account joked.
“911 Commander, if you’re reading this…can we keep him?”
Dispatchers asked the public for advice on what to name their new friend.
Ideas flooded in: Dispatch, Radar, Scanner.
The winner? Justice.
Justice has settled into her new job quite well.
