Firefighters responded to a house fire in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Clackamas Fire District said the home on Southeast Silverleaf Lane was filled with heavy smoke and fire when crews arrived around 2 a.m. While the fire had grown and started to damage another home next door, crews were quickly able to contain the blaze.
One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
Fire crews were able to revive the homeowner’s cat, which was then taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
Three people were displaced as a result of the fire.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze.
